Introduction

The Savoy Educational Trust is a registered charity (charity number 1161014 whose registered office is at 6 Trull Farm Buildings, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, GL8 8SQ.

We are a data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR).

This privacy and data protection statement sets out how The Savoy Educational Trust uses and protects any information provided to us by potential applicants and grantees. Where information is provided during the application process by which individuals can be identified, The Savoy Educational Trust will only use that information in accordance with this privacy statement.

We will only collect the minimum amount of information necessary to carry out the aims of The Savoy Educational Trust or to comply with our legal responsibilities.

How we process information

We will only use personal information for the purpose for which it has been given, will not keep it for longer than necessary and will destroy the information securely according to our data retention policy. Information provided through grant applications will be retained for up to eight years, after which time it will be destroyed.

We work in partnership with an organisation called The Trust Partnership who support us with the grant administration process. Details of any successful grant applicants will be shared securely with The Trust Partnership solely for the purposes of administrative processing. All data will be stored and transferred securely and managed in accordance with GDPR legislation.

If personal information within a grant application is submitted online the applicant is responsible for confirming that the written agreement and permission of any individuals identified in an application has been obtained to pass their personal information to The Savoy Educational Trust. We will only use this information for the purposes of assessing an application, managing, or monitoring any grant awarded, related administration or research purposes, annual reporting, and for sharing relevant information to other funding organisations, if requested, to use in their own assessment of applications and managing or monitoring of grants awarded.

Protecting your data

The secure protection of your information is extremely important to us, and we have implemented controls and measures to remove risks to your information and protect against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

We do not transfer any personal data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).
